When a dog enters the 50 foot range and barks, then the outdoor bark control device will beep and emit an ultrasonic sound to deter the dog barking. Startled by the high-pitched sound, the dog should stop barking, as it will associate its bark with this unpleasant noise. This sound is safe and effective for your pet or your neighbor's pet.
The Petsafe Outdoor Bark Control Birdhouse needs to be placed facing where the dog usually barks and make sure the device is within the 50 foot range. The outdoor bark control device is designed with provisions for hanging or mounting and should be positioned at a height of no more than 5 feet and the outdoor bark control can also stand alone and should be free of any large obstacles.
